Our FOUR-Step OPERATING Model
Our APPROACH
We begin by engaging citizens across the country to understand their concerns, priorities, and hopes for security and peace. Different regions often face different realities, so local perspectives are essential. We also ask communities to identify the stakeholders they see as their true representatives, which may differ from those recognized at the national level.
Once local perspectives are gathered, stakeholders are convened to discuss shared needs and priorities. These conversations require careful, light-touch facilitation to build trust and create the conditions for collaborative policy and action recommendations.
Identifying quick wins is an important part of building confidence in the process. These may come through administrative changes, public policy decisions, or public commitments followed by visible action. Early successes help demonstrate that constructive change is possible.
With trust established and immediate opportunities identified, stakeholders can then turn to the longer-term capacities needed to sustain peace. This includes strengthening both human and institutional capacity, setting long-range goals, and developing practical plans to turn identified needs into reality.
Careful monitoring and creative evaluation will be fostered to help identify ways to adjust to unexpected developments, and to maintain the long-term goal of sustainable, effective governance for peace.
